While traditionally Mardi Gras refers to Carnival celebrations associated with Christianity, it also gives us a reason to join in on the fun. Mardi Gras is known for its spirit of indulgence and its vibrant costumes, but many don’t know the hidden meaning behind the official colors of Mardi Gras: purple, green, and gold.
Despite the festive nature the combination of the colors represent, the meanings behind the three colors are actually quite noble. Purple represents Justice, green represents Faith, and gold represents Power. The fleur-de-lis symbol is also meant to signify perfection, light, and life while representing French royalty. Who would have thought that behind all the fun festivities of Carnival lay such a bold and meaningful message?
So here at Sheec, we thought it was important to design a sock that was both fun, but also wearable 365 days a year. After all, why should we be depicting justice, faith, and power only during Carnival when they can be celebrated all year long? With our chic fleur-de-lis pattern and multi-block pattern options available as both KneeSox™ and TrouSox™ you can celebrate Carnival on Mardi Gras Day, but also all year long.
